Thank You Doug. That makes sense. Nik ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- That's correct with the nuts on the top. You need clearance inside the fender so a combination of bolt and nuts may not work. On Ace motorcycles, which are the same, the head of the bolt is thin. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Hi All, I have a question from those more knowledgeable than I on this matter. That probably includes everyone. lol This '18 Henderson was on display at the Quail Lodge motorcycle gathering. It belongs to a friend of mine and has an interesting history. Apparently it was stored away inside a house by the original owner after only a couple of years and discovered only recently. Anyway, it has to b e pretty factory correct right? So I'm puzzled why the two fender bolts are pushed in from the inside with nuts on top. Is that what the factory did? Just looks funny to my eyes. Or it could just be me. :) Have a great day. BTW it will be going on auction at Mecum Monterey. I would have posted all the pics I took, but it would take too long as you're limited to one per post msg. |
