Hi Perry/Byrne/Fellow Henners:

I've been at sea the last several weeks. Be home tomorrow
and will measure the cable on my 1927. Perry despite what
the Corbin lit says, remember in '27 the first dash was
introduced. This necessitated in a slightly longer cable
because of the position of the dash which took the place of
the toolbox. Prior speedos were mounted on a bracket behind
and off to the left side of the toolbox and would be
slightly shorter. The '24 to '26 low frame models would all
be the same. I'll also measure the cable on the original
'26 to determine the difference and report back after
Davenport. Also remember the '27 was fitted with a Stewart
Warner speedo. In '28 the Corbin was used again. I might
as well measure that one too. Byrne I'll call you and
discuss the carb. Keep on Henning.

Steve

  Byrne - I have a photocopy of the T/TX section from a
Zenith carb manual. It shows the vast majority of parts
are interchangeable between T4 and T4X. I suspect with
the proper jets any T series carb will work (I'd scan
the carb info and put it on my site, but it's a poor
photocopy that wouldn't scan well).
I have copies of Corbin factory literature showing cable
length for 24, 25 and 27 Henderson at 24 3/4 inches.
Presumably the same length for 26 and 28 too ... Perry

I have some questions regarding a 28 Deluxe.
1. I understand that the correct carb is a T4X Zenith. Can
other Zenith carbs with T4 numbers be used? What is the
difference?

2. Can anyone tell me the correct length of the speedo cable
r a 1928?

Thanks
