I pulled ours off a few years ago to get the shaft/yoke and
top cover replated. I wouldn't recommend taking it apart
unless you need to do some restorative work. I can't
remember the specifics but I recall compressing the springs
and reassembling the fork was a real PIA.

I need to rebuild the front shock on my 25 Henderson with
sidecar.

Are parts out there for this job. I have not removed it
yet.

There is no resistance in the shocks movement.
