True Marty, the KL stamping is an interesting subject,
I've seen engines that have KJ stampings with KL top ends as
well that appear factory, so who's to say really what is
correct, Ride the damn thing,

Interesting side note,

In my experience with cylinders, compression ratios and
squish realted topics the KL was in fact a dog,
The KL combustion chamber design is less effective than the
Ricardo design in building pressure to the piston top. 4.6/1
as opposed to 4.8/1. I think the factory realized this and
made a compromise by using a 2 ring piston on KL pistons to
create less friction and tried to put more air/fuel mixture
into the manifold, I can't say if timing was altered, but
just to achieve an extra 5 hp one less ring will help quite
a bit. The consequence however is another matter. I do know
that the factory had a different cam for KL's as I have
ground a few already, but they were not typically found in
KL's. Marty, Dennis B, and Frank Westfall have one of these
cams in thier engines.

NOW we have the very rare Henderson KD model as listed on
ebay Item number: 2477251853
This beauty sports the aftermarket fender skirts in 2 tone
yellow and white.
Say what does KD stand for? Kraft Dinner? Just kidding with
ya, Still looks like a fun project,
