Well, if you have relaced your wheel this is not a big
problem. Just loosen all the spokes on exactly 1/2 turn on
the side that you want the rim to move away from, and then
tighten the spokes on the other side exactly 1/2 turn.
Repeat until rim centers in the fork. If you do this with
care the wheel will still be round, the spokes will still
have the right tension and the wheel will have correct
offset. Offsetting a rim i relation to the hub is no problem
and it is done on many bikes and will not interfere with
handling. Harleys star hub wheels (35-66) all have offset.
The most important thing is that the two wheels should line
up with each other.

My forks are true and I have the hub assembly spaced to the
left as far as it can go. Any further and the brake drum
will rub on one of the rocker studs.
I'M AT A LOSS!!

For what ever its worth, if it is not a show bike just
make some axle spacers to locate your wheel central
otherwise I believe the spokes should be adjusted to bring
the rim in central.

I laced my wheel central relative to the hub and it is
okay however, if your forks are bent they will skew the
wheel location.

All:
I've run into a delema in fitting the front wheel on my
1929 KJ. I had the wheel laced up true to the hub center
however when I fit the wheel into the fork assemblies the
rim is 1/4 to 5/16" off center to the left. Is this normal
or do I need to reset the spokes so the rim has an offset. I
e asked some people and have gotten conflicting answers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
