The venturi is 1 1/8" ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- your HX176 what size Venturi does it have our one is 1 1/8" which I feel is to big should be 3/4" to 1" ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- My 1923 has a HX176 and I think that is the correct one for 1922 also. I don't think that is the problem. The leather should close weak and it is important that the spring is correct. I have seen many springs that don't work. Try to find one from an original carb or buy one that you know are working. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Nicks. Bike has a HX 176 and I believe your right it's been running terrible spoke with Peter Reeves said the carb size is very important as 4 cyl use small choke appro 3/4" and 176 appears to be 1'1/8 also the spring that holds the leather plug closed very weak he also confirmed this is critical. Looks like I found the problem just resolve the issues. Call you later today Chris ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Hello Chris , I am sure 1920 to '25 use HX183 but many others will work just as well , what's on yours ? how is it running now ??
