many thanks for the reply I did try that but no better, I just advanced the ignition timing past the original setting and it seems better but when I go to rev it a huge flat spot when hot yet perfect when cold. Going down the pub drown my sorrows. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- just finished a major rebuild on 22 Ace start from cold runs perfect and smooth as it get hot say 5 minutes starts to misfire when you open the throttle it's flat won't pick up. The mag has been rebuilt by a very well respected company, has new HT leads, anyone else suffered the same problem ? Do you take hot air from the exhaust manifold into the bottom of the carb? Modern petrol don't like it. Had that problem on my 1923 and my friends 1921. We tok that away. |
