Chris,

I have seen some pictures of another "inline-6" - reportedly from Europe. But I have no idea about the Who, How, When, Why or Why.

The one in the picture I posted is a 1926 with a deluxe motor. I wonder who built it.

Look on the website under Carl Vandre's Creations.

Carl told me that when he first built the engine, he miscalculated the counterweights on the crankshaft, and when he fired it up on the engine stand, the stand "walked" across the shop floor. He recalculated, and built a new crankshaft.

The bike was originally blue, but you can see what happened to it. It ended up being painted maroon.

I was told that the KJ that was Dick Winger's was built by Carl. Others have said it was restored by Carl and was a factory bike. I am the first to tell you I don't know crap. I found this picture while looking for information and it makes me wonder if they made some of these in different years. Anyone out there have any ideas or knowledge on the subject? Dick and Carl's KJ 6 was at Wauseon and if I had thought of it I would have asked it's owner but of course I didn't. I am just curious.
