Thanks, Jim. I figured that rolled over part had to go somehow but wasn't sure about how to get it to hold together afterward. Guess I'll have to work on my TIG skills. I 'll bet whoever designed that pressure plate couldn't have imagined people would be refurbishing them 80 years later or maybe he'd have made them easier to fix. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- hey gary.if it is the same as the one i have here,you have to cut it open on the lathe.weld it back together after.it does not unscrew,counterclock or otherwise.
