If you look closely in pics #1 & #2 you will see a massive chunk of aluminum under the sprocket bearing area. Those of you familier with Henderson cases know this area is very prone to cracking. I had my top pattern maker who is knowlegable in these 4 cyl bikes and works cheap to put a significant amount of material there to compensate for weak and cracked upper cases. My upper case is cracked from main shaft bearing up to the casting number on top about 6 inches. I have treated my bike roughly to test this change/improvement and found it to be a great help. I weighed my pan before I put my engine together and found it 1.5 pounds heavier than the original pan. My bike has over 5,000 miles on it. This is my oppion not an add.
