back in the good old days you may remember that Flxi sidecar fender that I GAVE Doc. It was basically flat and looked like it had been run over by a Mack truck! Bill Patt hammered it straight and the next time I saw it was on one of Doc's Aces looking good with zero visible damage . Doug , you have never thrown out anything and are too cheap to buy anything! ( just kidding) ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Be careful about which FLXI fender blank you use. Ace also used the same blank as FLXI but the fender radius was for 20" wheels. So there are two styles of FLXI fenders out there. The 1919 Henderson fender looked like Ace but had a larger radius and I believe the fender width was slightly undersize of that used on Ace. Some years ago, I bought a fender for my Ace sidecar and when I got home it didn't fit because it was for Henderson. I believe I bought it from Barry Brown. It was no good for me so I threw it in the trash....just kidding. ACEdoug ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Barry, Try Bob Jones in Ohio at 419-569-3447. He may be able to supply you a repro fender with braces as well as interiors. He has patterns for the braces and blank Henderson 18-19 fenders, which are the same profile as FLXI. I turned him on to both items, as I have a set for my rig. Not to brag (too much) but my Flxi is now complete, with mounts, for my 19 X. Patiently awaiting my attention. Gene Harper ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Or just a hub or just a rim, clincher or drop centre. Other sidecar chassis parts needed, especially front spring. Your price paid!
