Just wondering if someone could tell me the correct timkin numbers for the rear hub. I can't seem to find it anywhere...
Timkin 07098 inside 07204 outside

Hi

I made a comparison chart for the different taper wheel bearings used on Henderson.

De-Luxe Front+Rear wheel
Quill K-8003
Henderson part no: K-8020
Timken Outer bearing: CUP 09196
O.D. 1 15/16” (49,2mm)
Henderson part no: K-8021
Timken inner bearing: CONE 09078
I.D ¾” (19,05mm)

KJ Rear Wheel
Quill K-822
Henderson part no: K-8023
Timken Outer bearing: CUP 07204
O.D. 2 3/64” (51,99mm)
Henderson part no: K-8024
Timken inner bearing: CONE 07098
I.D 63/64”(25,003mm)

KJ Front wheel (bearinngs as de-luxe)
Quill K-743
Henderson part no: K-8020
Timken Outer bearing: CUP 09196
O.D. 1 15/16” (49,2mm)
Henderson part no: K-8021
Timken inner bearing: CONE 09078
I.D ¾” (19,05mm)

According to a book I have (auditor Eddy) Timken taper roller bearings were introduced in 1923.
Somewhere I have read that the Quill was rather thin and was supersede by a new quill and bearings. Was this before the introduction of the KJ in 1929?

Question: Is it possible that the factory used metric bearings in KJ rear wheel 30205 (25x52 mm)? The dimensions are nearly identical with the imperial (inch) type 07204/07098.

Regards
