Hi Russell, This is the first time that I have posted on the KJ EXchange. In answer to your question about my Henderson; with all the factory drawings that I have, it was in competition with the 45" Super "X" that came out in 1925. The engine only has 55 cu in., Schwinn liked small engines. There is no serial number on the engine, this must have been the only engine that was ever built. The crankcase is cast iron. I have no idea what the panels were for unless it is to help in removing the crankshaft which comes out the front, as there is only two main bearings in the engine. This is a very unique engine.
