Has anyone had experience repairing chipped cast Henderson cylinder fins? Any repair idea's appreciated.

Thanks Luke
I have replaced missing and chipped fins on Harley cylinders using an acetylene torch and 1/16" steel rod. The first couple of passes are the hardest, blending the molten cast and steel. After that it is easy with as many passes needed to get the required fin height. Bonding must have been good because it withstood the rigors of grinding and filing smooth. Getting the proper texture on the new fin to match the cast iron was the hardest part. Tom
