Hi folks, finally got to the point where I was ready to crank my Henderson motor. Beeing the first time in almost 60 years this was quite something.
I have made up a jig and a temporary exhauxt to be able to start the motor without having to install it in the frame. My intention is to run it some to be sure there are no issues that would make it necceseary to bring it out of the frame soon after installation.
As I have described in this forum before the motor was rather tight and could not by any chance be started by the foot cranck. used a longer stick to get some momentum.
It fired right up on second attempt, what a thrill.
Had some problems to decide on if it where to be started wit or without choke, as well as I couldnt really figure out how to adjust the idling system. had to leave it running by adjusting the throttle some open.
Oil pressure was there instantly, it runs really nice, revs up easily and I am truly facinated by the sound of this engine.
What a show of this bike must have been back then in 1927!!
Have anyone got any suggestions in how I am to find out what could be done to get the engine running with throttle closed using the low idling system only?? Any set up procedure??
Could it be that now with Robs forged aluminium pistions and the later style highh lift camshaft the idling system gives to less fuel??
Any help would be apprechiated.
As soon as this issue is sorted as well as I need to replace the cranck sprockets as those now slips every now and then, I am ready to hit the road!!!!

Thanks for all help and support till now to everyone.
Sverre
