Luke, The engine hardware was just nickel plated without being polished. When I get all my engine hardware plated it is barrel plated and electroless. (barrel plating is when they throw all the parts in a basket and plate them without hanging, thats all the factory did) Very durable and correct looking. If you don't polish it, it will be normally dull after plating. Check out the closest plating co to you and ask them if they do electroless nickel. "Dull Nickel" is this an electroless nickel plating? I know some parts are polished nickel, i'm more concerned about acheiving the correct dull look. Thanks Luke
