Hello Jeff.
Thanks for the information and the pictures.
The holes (5/16) for the tube, are in the fender.
Only the rear hole by the taillight is a lot bigger.
The hole for the bumper is at the place that you said.
I took the braces out of the fender and found this on the right side.(pic)
A countersunk hole must have been there, because there is no hole in the fender.
The clip on the picture must bee in the rear at the taillight top screw.
Strange? The parts book shows two screws. One for the taillight and one for the clip.

If anyone has an original condition KJ with original wiring still intact, check to see how they did the taillight wire as it enters the front of the wire tube beneath the fender. I agree with Marty that it's unlikely they had a harness with one long run all the way to the taillight, but we don't have confirmation of a connector at this point. Let us know, thanks.
