After a change of carbs, it ran great! The idle passage was
blocked on the other carb. Just a leaky carb bowl[needs a
crush washer] to still deal with. The original float/needle
mechanisms of the DLX76 are pure junk, which is one reason
many don't like them and the carbs always seem to flood or
stick. The changes done to my float mechanism, besides
Cotton's float, made it as seem to operate as good as the
later Scheblers.

I might be there finally! The KL came home today. Fired on
first kick, the clutch is right, but idle circuit on carb
maybe plugged,[dies at closed throttle/idle] so will change
out carb to one that for sure has all passages cleaned. I
need info from someone with a Goulding hack, as to how it
handles. It is dramatically different from the hack on my 39
four, and need advise. Please e-mail me off line so I can
discuss a few sidecar issues.Bike drove and shifted fine
otherwise. Marty
